Team

A founding team bridging systems engineering, signal intelligence, quantum biology, and deep-tech commercialization.

IMU LLC is built around a cross-disciplinary team combining decades of experience in simulation-based systems engineering, autonomous prediction, quantum biology, and advanced technology commercialization.

The IU/MU Transducer platform sits at the intersection of physics, computation, and biology — and requires a team capable of operating across all three domains.

Dr. John R. Clymer

Co-Founder · Systems Engineering & OpEMCSS Architecture
Boone, Iowa, USA

Dr. John R. Clymer is a pioneer in simulation-based systems engineering with more than 50 years of experience in complex systems design, artificial intelligence, and optimization.

He is the creator of OpEMCSS (Operational Evaluation Modeling for Context-Sensitive Systems) — a graphical, icon-based simulation framework that enables the design and execution of complex adaptive systems with minimal coding.

Dr. Clymer is the author of Simulation-Based Engineering of Complex Systems (Wiley), and his work has been applied across defense, aerospace, and large-scale systems modeling environments.

His contribution to IMU LLC is foundational — providing the systems architecture and simulation framework underpinning the IU/MU Transducer and LENR system design.

Key Highlights

  • PhD, MS, BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Former Professor, California State University Fullerton
  • Creator of OpEMCSS simulation system
  • 50+ years in AI, simulation, and systems engineering
  • Expert in classifier systems, rule learning, and complex adaptive systems

Amar M. Vakil

Co-Founder · Autonomous Universal Predictor & Signal Intelligence
Dana Point, California, USA

Amar Vakil brings deep expertise in signal intelligence, predictive systems, and anomaly detection, with a background spanning NASA JPL, control systems engineering, and advanced signal processing.

He is a key contributor to the Autonomous Universal Predictor (AUP) framework — designed to extract meaningful signal from highly complex and noisy environments, including biological and quantum-scale systems.

Within IMU LLC, Amar leads the development of the computational and signal-processing layer of the IU/MU Transducer — enabling real-time interpretation of energy–matter interactions.

Key Highlights

  • Former Principal Investigator, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • Specialist in signal extraction and blind-source separation
  • Experience in fMRI and complex signal analysis
  • Background in electronics and control systems
  • Prior work in LENR system development

Why This Team Matters

The IU/MU Transducer is not a conventional technology.

It requires:

  • Systems engineering to model complex interactions
  • Signal intelligence to extract structure from noise
  • Quantum biology to connect physics with living systems

This team uniquely combines those capabilities into a single platform company.
